The radiance of metal becomes more enchanting when the surface is embellished with a raised design. Repoussé is a classical means of shaping soft, malleable metal from reverse, whilst ‘chasing’ is used to refine the design from the front by sinking back the metal. Such techniques utilise the plasticity of soft metals, forming shapes by localised pressure. Though relatively slow a maximum of form is achieved in one continuous sheet of metal showing the results of the direct contact of handheld tools. Design your own exclusive book cover and have it hand embossed onto copper. Immortalize a favourite image or character, a family crest, logo or symbol. Ideas can be developed at no extra cost with a final proof sent for approval. *Drymount Photo Albums are a versatile and popular way to store your photos and memorabilia. They have plain card paper which allows photos of mixed sizes to be placed anywhere on the page. The flexibility of a dry-mount album allows photos to be displayed in portrait or landscape positions depending on the photo. Photo corners, tabs, double-sided tape or paste is required to hold the photos in position on the page. My handmade drymount photo albums have black or ivory white pages, acid-free and of archival quality.
